Travel Trailer Destroyed in Early Morning Fire at White Hall Residence
A pull-behind travel trailer caught fire early Sunday morning and was completely destroyed. The incident took place at a residence on Gradenbaugh Rd. in White Hall.
The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to the emergency call, but the 27-foot-long Forest River Grey Wolf trailer was estimated to have suffered $25,000 worth of damage.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Let’s Celebrate Go Caroling Day!

Once upon a time, Christmas celebrations wouldn’t have been anything without caroling, and this is exactly what is celebrated on Go Caroling Day on December 20.
It’s about nothing else but merrily singing songs from door to door in the spirit of the holiday season. Christmas carols were very popular decades ago, before there was digital entertainment to distract us.
As it has become more and more uncommon to sing along to carols, Go Caroling Day revives and preserves this classic tradition.

Board of Public Works Approves Funding for Pickle ball Courts in Harford County
The Board of Public Works (BPW), comprised of Governor Wes Moore, Comptroller Brooke Lierman, and State Treasurer Dereck Davis, reviewed various funding requests and recommendations during their meeting on December 13, 2023.
Among the approved projects were the allocation of $150,000 from the Community Parks and Playground Program for the design and construction of additional pickle ball courts at the Havre de Grace Community Center in Harford County.
Additionally, the BPW agreed to enter into a grant agreement with the Harford County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA) for the acquisition, planning, and construction of the IWLA Conservation and Education Center. The grant, amounting to $350,000, does not require a matching fund.
These developments highlight the state's support for recreational and educational initiatives in Harford County.
