Harford County Company Delivers Groundbreaking UAV for Marine Corps Battlefield Use
The U.S. Marine Corps has turned to The Survice Engineering Co. LLC in Belcamp for a solution to resupply warfighters on the battlefield.
The Naval Air Systems Command has placed an $11 million order for 28 TRV-150C Tactical Resupply Unmanned Aircraft Systems, which are manufactured by Survice Engineering's partner, Malloy Aeronautics Ltd. in England.
The TRV-150 is a medium-sized UAV that is capable of lifting a 150-pound cargo payload up to 44 miles at speeds close to 70 miles per hour. It is designed to deliver ammunition, weapons, food and water, medical supplies, and other essential equipment to Marines in combat.
The UAV is compact and portable, making it easily transportable by one person. The TRV-150 is intended for a wide range of uses including intra-installation logistics, base security and defense, search and rescue, disaster relief, and island clean-up.
Survice Engineering will do the work in Churchville, Md., and should be finished by March 2025.
