Flood Watch Advisory Issued as Rainy Weather Approaches
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch advisory for the Baltimore Metropolitan Area in anticipation of rainy weather heading into the region.
The forecast predicts two to three inches of rain, with the heaviest rainfall expected on Sunday afternoon during the Baltimore Ravens' game against the L.A. Rams at M&T Bank Stadium. Thunderstorms are also a possibility in the evening.
The flood warning that was issued early on Saturday morning will remain in effect until late Sunday evening for northern and southern Baltimore City, as well as parts of Anne Arundel, Howard, and Harford counties.
The warning emphasizes the potential for excessive runoff leading to creeks and streams overflowing their banks. Flooding is also likely in poor drainage and urban areas, as storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.
The forecast is a 100% chance of rain today. Stay dry and stay safe!

Baltimore Ravens Poised for Strong Finish in Regular Season
With five games left in the regular season, the Baltimore Ravens are poised to make a strong playoff run. Currently leading their division with a healthy starting quarterback, Lamar Jackson, the Ravens are heavy favorites to win the AFC North title. Additionally, they are among the few teams favored to make a run for the Super Bowl.
The Ravens face tough competition in their remaining games, as all of their opponents are in playoff contention. Despite the challenges ahead, Jackson expressed confidence in his team's readiness for the upcoming matches. He compared each week's game to a playoff game, emphasizing the importance of staying focused and maintaining control.
Having had a bye week, the Ravens have had extra time to rest and recover from injuries. This is especially beneficial for starting offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley, who returned to practice on Wednesday.
Baltimore Orioles in Talks for Potential Ownership Change

Reports suggest that Baltimore Orioles, who impressed with their young talent in 2023, may soon have a new owner. According to Bloomberg's Gillian Tan, David Rubenstein, co-founder of Carlyle Group Inc., is in talks to acquire the Major League Baseball team.
The current owner, Peter Angelos, has held ownership since 1993 when his group purchased the franchise for $173 million. While it remains unclear if the Angelos family is interested in selling the team, discussions with Rubenstein are ongoing.
If the deal is finalized, it could be announced in the first half of next year. Rubenstein, a Baltimore native, has a net worth of $4.6 billion. The potential change in ownership has implications for the future of the Orioles franchise.
