Harford County to Replace Iconic "Mariner Man" Statue
After seven years of welcoming visitors to Mariner Point Park in Joppa, the iconic "Mariner Man" statue is being replaced by Harford County.
The decision comes as the current sculpture is reported to be rotted and beyond repair. The county's Parks and Recreation department has announced that a more durable sculpture will be installed in January.
Unfortunately, they have also stated that they are unable to salvage, sell, store, or give away the deteriorating Mariner Man statue.
Orioles Merchandise Employees Protest Cuts to Work Hours and Benefits
Dozens of Orioles merchandise employees and their union allies protested outside the team's store on Black Friday. They are calling on the operator of the store, Fanatics, to restore work hours and health care benefits that have been cut.
Around 70 workers are also demanding higher pay to match the average wages of retail employees at other East Coast stadiums. The employees, held signs and shouted slogans outside the store to draw attention to their grievances.
The union representing the workers, Unite Here Local 7, organized the protest to coincide with the lunch breaks of the store employees. Fanatics has not yet responded to the demands made by the workers.
Join the Movement: Participate in Giving Tuesday and Give Back to Your Community

Giving Tuesday, which takes place annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a day dedicated to giving back to the community. It is an opportunity for individuals to donate money or volunteer their time to support charitable causes. There are several ways to participate in Giving Tuesday, including donating to your favorite charity, volunteering, and donating clothes or shoes.
One of the ways to contribute on Giving Tuesday is by donating to a charity of your choice. There are numerous options available, and individuals can choose to make a donation in various ways. They can mail a check, drop off money in person, or donate online with just a few clicks from the comfort of their own desks.
Another way to give back is by volunteering. It is important to reach out to local hospitals, shelters, or nonprofit organizations ahead of time to inquire about volunteer opportunities. By offering their time and skills, individuals can make a positive impact on the community and help those in need.
Additionally, donating clothes or shoes is a simple yet impactful way to support those who are less fortunate. Many of us have items in our closets that we no longer wear or need. Going through your wardrobe and selecting articles of clothing that you know you won't wear again can make a significant difference in someone else's life.

Baltimore Ravens Rookie Zay Flowers Shines in Victory over Los Angeles Chargers

Lamar Jackson's patience has finally paid off as rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers had a standout performance in the Baltimore Ravens' victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Flowers scored a touchdown catch and ran for a game-sealing score late in the fourth quarter. The Ravens' balanced offense, coupled with a strong defensive performance, propelled them to a 20-10 win. Lamar Jackson made history as the fourth quarterback in NFL history to surpass 5,000 rushing yards.
The Chargers struggled to contain Jackson and the Ravens in the second half, allowing Flowers to seal the game with a 37-yard touchdown run. The Ravens' defense forced four turnovers, contributing to their dominant performance. Meanwhile, the Chargers' offense struggled to execute, resulting in their third consecutive loss.
