Road Closure Alert: Jolly Acres Road Shut Down for Three Months!
A section of Jolly Acres Road in White Hall between Dry Branch Road and Green Road will be closed for three months starting November 13th as crews work on road slope stabilization repairs.
Emergency vehicles and school buses will have to find alternate routes during this time. Drivers are advised to follow detour signs or plan alternative routes if they usually travel on this road.
To stay updated on current and planned county road closures, a map can be found on the county website.

Frustration Mounts as Young Offenders Evade Consequences in Maryland
Lawmakers in Maryland are set to meet next week to address the growing issue of juvenile crime. Harford County State’s Attorney Alison Healey is just one of many prosecutors, police officers, and parents calling for changes to the current juvenile laws.
Healey argues that it is becoming increasingly difficult to hold young people accountable for their actions due to the restrictive legislation. Two laws in particular have caused frustration among prosecutors. The Juvenile Justice Reform Act limits charges for those under 13 to crimes of violence and prevents children under 10 from being charged at all.
Additionally, the Child Interrogation Protection Act requires children to consult with an attorney and for their parents or guardians to be notified before they can be questioned by law enforcement. As a result, prosecutors feel defeated and unable to effectively combat crime.
