Convenient Drop-Off Locations Available for Safe Medication Disposal in Harford County
Harford County residents have the opportunity to safely dispose of their expired and unwanted medication at seven locations on Saturday. The initiative, known as National Drug Take Back Day, is organized by the Harford County Department of Housing and Community Services’ Office of Drug Control Policy in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Agency and local law enforcement. Medications ranging from over-the-counter drugs to prescription medication, vitamins, and even pet medication will be accepted. The collection will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at various locations throughout Harford County including government buildings and police departments.
Collection will be available at the following locations:
Harford County government building, 220 S. Main St., Bel Air
Aberdeen Police Department, 60 N. Parke St.
Bel Air Police Department, 39 N. Hickory Ave.
Havre de Grace Police Department, 715 Pennington Ave.
Maryland State Police Barracks, 1401 Belair Road, Bel Air
Wegmans Market, 21 Wegmans Blvd., Abingdon
Citizens Volunteer Fire Company, 171 S. Market St.; Fawn Grove
Through this effort, Harford County aims to protect families and prevent medication misuse by keeping them out of the wrong hands and landfills. Since 2013, the county has already collected and destroyed over 44,000 pounds of unwanted medications.
Nationally, the initiative has resulted in the retrieval of over 17.3 million pounds of unwanted, expired, or unused medications since 2018.

Injury Updates for Ravens Ahead of Game Against Cardinals
Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith missed practice on Wednesday due to a shoulder injury, which is the first time he has been absent from practice this season. Despite not mentioning any injury after the game, Smith was pulled from the Ravens' win over the Lions.
Safety Marcus Williams also did not practice due to a hamstring injury, while rookie running back Keaton Mitchell has a chance of playing in Arizona but more likely next week. Wide receiver
Tylan Wallace returned to practice from injured reserve and cornerback Kevon Seymour was limited. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray practiced fully on Wednesday but his return will be managed cautiously.
