New Children's Show Inspires Kids to Make a Difference in the World
A new children's show called "On the Move with We Cancerve" premiered on HarfordTV in September. The show, created by Grace Callwood and Zachary Gwiazda, aims to inspire and empower kids to make a difference in the world through acts of kindness and community service.
In the first episode, youth reporters were seen preparing a nutritious meal in a commercial kitchen and delivering meal kits to a local homeless shelter. The show also showcased a partnership with a local girls soccer club, where they packaged make-your-own comic book kits for hospitalized children. These kits were then delivered to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and two children's hospitals in Baltimore.
Gwiazda, who serves as the show's co-host, co-director, and co-editor, conducted interviews at the Bel Air Farmer's Market for his segment "Zack Around Town." This segment highlights the importance of supporting local businesses, giving kids a valuable insight into the role of local farmers and small business owners.
The show received glowing reviews during a private screening, with guests praising its production quality, diverse topics, and the charismatic personalities of the hosts. A survey conducted after the screening showed that respondents gave the show an average score of 4.7 out of 5 for overall quality, and a rating of 4.5 for the topics covered and the youth hosts and reporters.
Grace Callwood, the show's creator, considers this project her life's work. She hopes that families will watch the show together and that it will encourage more young people to engage in community service. Callwood also encourages adults to collaborate with youth organizations and create programming that appeals to young audiences.
"On the Move with We Cancerve" airs on HarfordTV every Friday at 7 p.m. The show is available for viewing on local cable systems and HarfordTV's video-on-demand page.

Closure for the Family: Conviction in Harford County Murder Case Brings Justice to Victim's Loved Ones
Ashley Pearl Zentz, a 34-year-old resident of Edgewood, has been found guilty of First Degree Murder and Motor Vehicle Theft after a six-day jury trial in the Harford County Circuit Court.
The trial revealed that Zentz was responsible for the death of 71-year-old Gerald Champ, who was found deceased in his home on February 18, 2022. Zentz, who had known the victim and his family for over twenty years, was linked to the murder through forensic evidence, including DNA, cell phone downloads, and surveillance video.
The trial also revealed that Zentz and a co-defendant were involved in a home invasion in Baltimore County where they stole a vehicle.
Following the jury's verdict, Zentz has been returned to the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women, where she is currently serving a sentence for her conviction in the Baltimore County home invasion case. She will be sentenced for the First Degree Murder and Motor Vehicle Theft charges on December 18, 2023.
State's Attorney Alison M. Healey expressed her condolences to the family of Mr. Champ and stated that she hopes the convictions bring them some closure. She commended Deputy State's Attorney Trenna Manners and the investigative team for their hard work in bringing justice to the victim's family.

Baltimore Ravens Visit Arizona Sunday to take on the Cardinals

Ravens Pay Tribute to Terrell Suggs, Their All-Time Sack Leader
The Baltimore Ravens showcased their dominance on Sunday against the Detroit Lions at M&T Bank Stadium, and an integral figure in the team's history, Terrell Suggs, received recognition for his contributions. Suggs, the Ravens' all-time sack leader, was inducted into the organization's prestigious Ring of Honor during halftime, coinciding with a massive 28-0 lead for Baltimore.
Throughout his impressive career, Suggs secured several accolades, including the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year title in 2003 and the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2011. In the latter season, he was recognized as a first-team All-Pro and attained a remarkable seven Pro Bowl nominations overall.
Having dedicated 16 seasons (2003-2018) to the Ravens, Suggs left an indelible mark on the franchise. His stat line speaks volumes, with 895 career tackles, 202 tackles for loss, 37 forced fumbles, and 11 interceptions. Without a doubt, Suggs cemented his place as one of the NFL's finest pass rushers, finishing with an impressive 139 career sacks, ranking him 11th on the all-time list.
As a result of his remarkable achievements, Suggs will be eligible for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2025. With his induction into the Ravens' Ring of Honor, it is clear that Suggs' impact reverberates throughout the organization and leaves a lasting impression on both teammates and fans. His legacy will undoubtedly play a significant role in shaping the future of the Ravens, inspiring current and future players to strive for greatness.
Orioles Fans Left Wondering as Lease Negotiations Drag On

The Baltimore Orioles' memorable night on September 28, when they clinched the AL East and announced the signing of a 30-year lease to remain at Camden Yards, has lost some of its luster. Upon closer examination, the lease announcement was misleading, as it turned out to be a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU). This document outlines plans but does not put them into official action.
It remains uncertain whether any significant progress has been made towards signing the actual lease. State lawmakers sent congratulatory messages but since then, there has been silence. It is unclear if negotiations are taking place behind closed doors or if the Orioles and the state are still far apart on key issues.
While it is unlikely that the Orioles will be left without a home next season, the lack of a new lease raises concerns among fans. The longer the process drags on, the more questions arise about the reasons for the holdup. Orioles fans eagerly await clarity on the situation.
Overall, the Orioles' announcement of their lease signing was not what it initially seemed. The lack of progress and ambiguity surrounding the situation have left fans wondering about the future of the team at Camden Yards. Nonetheless, Orioles officials have assured fans that they will continue to play in Baltimore. The team faces potential embarrassment if a lease deal is not reached, but for now, fans must wait for further developments.
