Fatal Car Crash Claims Life of Bel Air Resident on Route 40

Maryland State Police have reported a deadly two-car collision on Route 40 near Wells Camp Road early Sunday morning. The identity of the victim, a resident of Bel Air, Md., has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The incident occurred at approximately 6 a.m. in the eastbound lanes when two vehicles traveling in separate lanes collided. According to a spokesperson from the North East barrack, the front of one vehicle collided with another during a lane change, causing both vehicles to veer into a grass median.

Regrettably, the driver of the vehicle from Bel Air was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver involved in the collision is a resident of Baltimore.

Both drivers were the only occupants in their respective vehicles at the time of the accident, as confirmed by the police.

Prompt Action by Fire Departments Prevents Injuries in Edgewood Fire

Sun Prairie lost it’s volunteer fire captain during an accidental explosion. I took this photo during the procession that took place to honor our fallen firefighter.

A townhouse in Edgewood suffered an electrical fire, causing a temporary displacement of its residents.

Firefighters promptly responded to the incident, managing to control the blaze within ten minutes.

No injuries were reported, and the fire company was supported by five cooperating fire departments and county rescue workers.

Ravens struggle in the red zone, settle for field goals

Lamar Jackson was impressive in his international debut, leading the Baltimore Ravens to a 24-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Jackson's coach, John Harbaugh, praised the quarterback for his courage and fearlessness throughout the game. Jackson threw a touchdown pass and was also the team's leading rusher. However, the Ravens struggled in the red zone, settling for field goals instead of touchdowns.

Justin Tucker, the Ravens' kicker, made all six of his field goal attempts. In a display of formidable offensive prowess, the Ravens found the end zone on five out of their six possessions during the first half. However, the majority of these scoring drives resulted in field goals rather than touchdowns.

As the second half commenced, Baltimore's offense faltered, succumbing to a pair of unsuccessful three-and-outs and an unfortunate interception. This turnover subsequently paved the way for the first rushing touchdown conceded by the Ravens throughout the entirety of this season. The Titans made a late rally but ultimately fell short.
