Violent Offender Faces Justice After Guilty Plea in Aberdeen Shooting

Sean Leigh Sconion, a 33-year-old man from Aberdeen, Maryland, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison on charges of attempted second-degree murder, use of a firearm in a crime of violence, and illegal possession of a regulated firearm by a felon.

The charges stem from a shooting that took place at TB3 Bar & Grill in Aberdeen on March 4, 2022. Sconion and the victim had a verbal exchange after the victim held the door open for him. In a shocking turn of events, Sconion retrieved a handgun and fired two shots at the victim at close range. He then fled the scene but was captured later.

This case highlights the dedication of the State's Attorney's Office for Harford County in removing violent offenders from the community. State Attorney Alison M. Healey expressed gratitude that the victim survived the attack and commended the Aberdeen Police Department for their diligent investigation.

The sentence imposed on Sconion exceeds the recommended guidelines, ensuring that he will serve a substantial amount of time behind bars, some of which will be without the possibility of parole.

Ravens vs. Titans - Sunday Oct 15th @ 9:30AM in London

Ravens (3-2)

Titans (2-3)

Ravens Look to Bounce Back Following Loss to Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens are gearing up to face the Tennessee Titans in the NFL International Series game in London. This marks the team's first trip to London since their embarrassing loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017. Determined to put their best foot forward this time, the Ravens arrived earlier to acclimate themselves before practicing. Head coach John Harbaugh acknowledged that there were factors during their last London game that impacted their mindset, but they aim to do better this time.

In terms of their matchup against the Titans, the Ravens have not played against them since their 2021 playoff win. The series between the two teams is tied at 13-13. Derrick Henry, the Titans' running back, will be a key player to watch out for, as the Ravens have not faced him since 2020 due to injury. With a 2-3 record and a recent loss, the Titans will be looking to rebound as well.

One crucial aspect for the Ravens in this game will be their passing offense. While their rushing attack ranks fourth in the league, their passing game has been lackluster, averaging only 189 yards and four touchdowns. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has been accurate but has not been throwing the ball deep. However, with a full set of receivers, including Zay Flowers and the recovering Odell Beckham Jr., the Ravens have the opportunity to exploit the Titans' vulnerable secondary.

Another key factor will be the Ravens' persistent pass rush. Ranked second in the league in sacks, the team has benefited from strong performances by players like Jadaveon Clowney. The Titans have struggled to protect their quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, and have surrendered the fourth-most sacks this season. If the Ravens can continue their pass rush success, it could be the key to securing an easy victory.

In a prediction for the game, the Ravens are expected to take this trip more seriously compared to their previous London game. With a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, they are projected to secure a comfortable win with a score of 35-14 over the Titans. Harbaugh emphasized the importance of this game and expressed that a win against the physical Titans would be highly meaningful for the team.
