Adults Charged with Attempted Murder in Shocking Shopping Plaza Altercation

Two adults have been arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing at a juvenile and attempting to run over other kids involved in a fight with one of the suspect's child.

Desiree Robertson, 42, and Gary Davenport, 44, drove to a shopping plaza in Aberdeen, Maryland, to pick up Robertson's child and two other youths who were involved in a altercation at a business there.

The other juveniles from the fight were still present in the parking lot and witnesses reported seeing Robertson driving aggressively towards the kids, apparently trying to mow them down with her car. Davenport, seated in the passenger seat, then fired a single shot at one of the juveniles who was running away.

Both Robertson and Davenport now face numerous charges, including attempted murder, assault, and weapons violations.

In the latest Powerball drawing on October 11, a lucky player from California scooped the massive $1.765 billion jackpot, while four Maryland players walked away with third-tier prizes of $50,000 each. The winning tickets in Maryland were sold in the counties of Baltimore, Harford, Howard, and Washington, adding to the excitement in the state.

The winning locations in Maryland are as follows:

- Abingdon: 7-Eleven at 3901 Pulaski Highway in Harford County
- Clarksburg: Harris Teeter at 22700 Sweet Shrub Drive in Howard County
- Hagerstown: Martin's at 18726 North Pointe Drive in Washington County
- Owings Mills: Giant at 10210 Mill Run Circle in Baltimore County

The lucky numbers in the October 11 drawing were 22, 24, 40, 52, and 64, with a Powerball number of 10. This drawing produced over 5.3 million winning tickets across the United States, with 108,998 winners in Maryland alone.

This historic $1.765 billion jackpot is the second largest in Powerball history and also ranks as the second largest jackpot ever in the United States. What makes this even more remarkable is that it marks the first time that two consecutive jackpot cycles have generated billion-dollar grand prizes.

During the course of the jackpot roll, Maryland had previously sold two second-tier winning tickets and 27 third-tier winners, including two Double Play tickets, with prizes ranging from $50,000 to $150,000. It is worth noting that there are still two unclaimed $1 million second-tier prizes from the jackpot roll. The first ticket was purchased in Snow Hill at Duck In II Convenience for the September 27 drawing, and the second ticket was bought at Golden Ring Liquors in Rosedale for the September 30 drawing.

Lottery officials are urging all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and store them in a safe location. Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes, so it's important to act promptly.
