National average price of gasoline drops to $3.67 per gallon

Gas prices in the United States have continued to fall for the third consecutive week, with the national average price of gasoline dropping by 10.2 cents to $3.67 per gallon. This is according to data compiled by GasBuddy from over 11 million price reports and 150,000 gas stations across the country. The current national average is also 13.8 cents lower than a month ago and 25.0 cents lower than the same time last year. In addition, the average price of diesel has fallen by 4.0 cents in the past week to $4.48 per gallon, which is 52.5 cents less than this time last year.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, expressed optimism about the decline in gas prices, stating that he believes the national average could fall another 25-45 cents by late November. However, De Haan also mentioned the recent attacks on Israel as a potential cause for concern, as they may destabilize the region and subsequently impact gas prices. De Haan is hopeful that the violence will not spread and have a significant impact on falling gas prices.

Bel Air Assault Suspect Apprehended After Fleeing to Aberdeen Proving Ground

A man from Brooklyn, New York, has been arrested for his involvement in a theft at the Home Depot in Bel Air, Maryland. The incident occurred on September 30, when police officers were called to the store for a theft in progress. The suspect assaulted an employee while leaving the store and crashed into a parked vehicle while attempting to escape the parking lot.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office spotted the suspect's vehicle and attempted to stop him, but he refused to comply. A pursuit ensued, leading the suspect onto Route 24 and eventually into the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Edgewood. The suspect managed to bypass the guard gate and continued driving on the premises. The pursuit involved multiple agencies, including the Aberdeen Proving Ground and Military Police.

The suspect eventually abandoned his vehicle and fled into the woods. During his time on the proving ground, it is believed that he burglarized a storage shed. The APG Police K9 Unit and a helicopter dispatched by the U.S. Army joined the search, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

After being charged and released by the APG Police, the suspect was taken into custody by the Bel Air Police Department. He was identified as Jemell Bender from New York. Authorities obtained a search warrant for his vehicle, which led to the discovery of over $15,000 worth of suspected stolen items from various stores, including the Bel Air Home Depot. Bender is also suspected of being involved in multiple retail thefts in Virginia.

Baltimore Ravens Take Early Flight to London for International Game

The Baltimore Ravens are taking a different approach to their upcoming game in London. After suffering a devastating loss in their only previous international game, the Ravens have decided to fly out six days early for their matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

In 2017, the team flew out just two days before their game and were soundly beaten by the Jacksonville Jaguars. This time, the Ravens are hoping that spending the entire week in London will allow them to adjust to the time difference and be fully prepared for Sunday's early morning kickoff.

Head coach John Harbaugh expressed confidence in the team's operations staff to handle the logistical aspects of the trip, allowing the coaching staff and players to focus solely on their preparation for the game. Despite the quick turnaround from their previous game, the Ravens are optimistic that their extended stay in London will lead to a better performance on the field.

Orioles Face Uphill Battle to Avoid Series Sweep Against Texas Rangers

The Baltimore Orioles, who finished the regular season with an impressive 101 wins, are on the brink of elimination after losing Game 2 of the AL Division Series to the Texas Rangers. The Orioles struggled with their pitching, allowing a season-high 11 walks, which ultimately led to their downfall. Grayson Rodriguez, the Orioles' starting pitcher, was pulled in the second inning after issuing four walks. The bullpen did not fare much better, and Mitch Garver of the Rangers hit a grand slam off reliever Jacob Webb in the third inning.

In addition to their pitching woes, the Orioles also struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities. They went 3 for 13 with runners in scoring position and left nine runners on base. This lack of timely hitting contributed to their 2-0 series deficit. It is worth noting that the Orioles did not experience a series sweep during the regular season.

Right fielder Aaron Hicks expressed his determination to bounce back, stating that the team is doing everything possible to win these games. However, the Orioles must now win three consecutive games to avoid elimination.

The series will shift to Texas for Game 3, and the Orioles will need to perform well on the road, as they have done throughout the regular season. Manager Brandon Hyde emphasized the importance of playing their best in Texas, acknowledging that the team has not performed up to their potential in the first two games of the series.

The Orioles have yet to announce their starter for Game 3. The decision is likely to be between 15-game winner Kyle Gibson, who previously played for the Rangers, or 27-year-old Dean Kremer. The outcome of Game 3 will be crucial for the Orioles, as they fight to keep their postseason hopes alive.
